A Singing Sensation

A great philosopher once said that without music, life would be a mistake. This is an idea that is accepted by almost every human in this world, whether you’re a toddler getting his first dose of ‘ABC’s or a middle aged woman part of an isolated tribal group. Decade after decade, music has evolved and people have adapted it to their versions based on their cultures and heritage. The variations can stretch from old German yodelling to a tiny ting on the triangle and even beatboxing.

Scholastica is an establishment that celebrates talent beyond one’s capability of balancing chemical equations. Over the years, our school has produced personalities renowned in sectors of athletics, theatre, music and much more. One such example is a student from our senior Uttara campus who is in grade XI. You might recognise him from various school functions such as the events organised for Pohela Boishakh, Graduation Ceremonies and even the Scholastica Model United Nations Conferences. Mohammad Sadman Hossain, lead guitarist of the previous school band, ‘Audiofication’, is extremely talented to say the least. Working with local music producers and having a special musical bone in his body, he has finessed the art of mixing tunes and therefore has produced his third single. ‘Raater Kotha’ is his latest production, and it is a beautiful medley romance, emotions, heart break and all things a good love song needs. The vocals, guitar strums, and the small tunes here and there were all perfected by him. His keen ear for melody has been recognised by several local singers and he has had the privileged to work with them as well. The guitar is hardly where this talent stops. Drums, tabla, keyboard are some of the instruments he’s learned to play over the years in school. It is assured, that he is one of the greatest musical geniuses in Scholastica’s history, however it is evident that he has a long way to go, hopefully selling out arenas. The Stallion’s team wishes him all the best for his future musical adventures.
